Book discussion: CULT TV: The Golden Age of ITC by Robert Sellers

Some of the longest-running shows in television history are programs that not only ran for just one or two seasons, but were made that way by design: shows like Secret Agent, The Prisoner, The Persuaders, The Thunderbirds and many other series produced for British television by Sir Lew Grade and ITC. Though made in the U.K., these shows were marketed throughout the world, including the United States, where they remain wildly popular on cable, tape and DVD.

We had the pleasure of discussing these shows and more with journalist Robert Sellers, author of Cult TV: The Golden Age of ITC, an informative yet fun history of British television from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.
